finally…

So, here I am, my second day in a row off, and I am exhausted. Exhausted to the point of narcolepsy. I thought I could rest up yesterday, and get some shit done today. However, I think my fun time last night, combined with meeting my boy for lunch today has kicked my ass. I shall try to do a brief rundown of what’s to come here at Narcoleptic Squirrel, then nap, so I can fill you all in.
Well, I closed The Women this weekend. I sort of miss it. I love the script, and I am fortunate to have had an opportunity to play a great character. I made some great connections, and got a chance to work with a director I really like and respect. There were some bumps along the way, but I learned some things so I think it balanced out.
There’s a show opening this weekend that I auditioned for a while back. At the time I thought it would be wonderful to close a show and head right into another tech week. Hahahaha. If my only job were theatre, I could do it. But having a mental illness makes everything kick my ass a little harder. I am so wiped out by the run, that I am relieved not to have rehearsals, much less tech.
I am dealing with my new position at work. I love my company, I love many of my coworkers, I love our product. What I do not love is my direct manager. Ugh. Must be careful, however…I really don’t want to be deuced, yo.
From preciously mentioned production, I got a job. It pays and everything!!
Am addicted to a new weekly karaoke habit. It replaces Movieoke, now that it’s once a week. It’s such a fun place, and I like the people. It’s low key, no pressure, and they make me feel like a rock star!!
Geoff’s birthday recently passed. I will have a tangent about people relating to that. Is it that hard to RSVP? I’m not even talking in a timely fahsion at this point…just to say whether you can make it or not. With a month’s notice, you have plenty of time to make arrangements. Sorry, when you tell us an hour or two before the party you have a prior commitment, I have a really hard time believing you. But, the party was fun, and I am happy the people that came did, they are super fun, and a loving bunch that we are lucky to have in our lives. Hopefully, my tired ass will get some of the pictures developed and up soon.
As Easter approaches, I’m realizing that the more I know about religions, and the symbolism surrounding them, the more annoying it is to me to see how Christian religions take over Pagan symbols, and distort them to fit their needs. Yet, the pagans are going to hell. Rrrrriiight.
Umm…I think those are the rants I have on my plate. Oh, and a theatre review….and I need to rework an old monologue for an upcoming audition.
more later, yo!

Remember that the Bunny Christ was crucified for our sins. IJS, yo.
Sorry to have wanked on your party. SF told me it was a great time and you looked Salma-licious.

My Emily the Strange calendar says “Sunday Bunny Sunday” on April 16th.
WE missed you. I was hoping you would come and do some Fu, Kill Bill Style, and we could stare in awe.
Oh well, sometimes we are a forgiving lot…

Hey, at least I can keep up with the family by reading your blog! Miss you much. I heard that the birthday party was fabulous. About the theatre thing…about a million years ago Geoff and I went from a five weekend run of “Of Thee I sing” to a three weekend run of “Dark of the Moon” with no break. I think we both swore we would never do that again. Good luck on auditions! Florida Mom
