Monday, June 9th, 2008So last week was not ideal. I was sick for a couple of days, boo. And, it was our department outing for work, in which massive amounts of pizza, dip, and wine were consumed. I stayed the same, at least, but probably would have been down, if I wouldn’t have had pizza party right there…I will say, however, it was deeeelish.
So, here’s the rundown:
Sunday: nada
Monday: one hour strength, 30 minutes cardio
Tuesday: 30 minutes wii fit (balance and cardio)
Wednesday: nada (sick)
Thursday: nada (sick)
Friday: one hour strength, 30 minutes cardio
Saturday: nada
Starting: 144.5
as of 6/7/08: 141.5
percentage of weight loss for the week: 0
percentage of weight loss total: 2%
I got sick again last night, much more fiercely. I don’t know when I will be able to work out, since I can barely stand up, but I am not consuming much, either, because my stomach is trying to secede from my body. I would be very happy if I were 140 on Saturday. Very, very happy. Of course, I would be even happier if I could get to the gym regularly this week.
why i have the best friends
Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008Let’s say you haven’t been to the dentist in a number of years. There is an amazing dentist that everyone at work goes to, and you have been saying you would make an appointment for at least six months, but still haven’t gotten around to it, but you totally will. Soon. For reals. Then, your friend and carpool buddy has a dentist appointment and tells you she will make an appointment for you. You nod along, as though you’re totally sure she will do it, but are really sure she won’t. I mean, who makes appointments for someone else that is not a dependent?
Then, said friend comes back from the dentist and hands you your appointment card and starter pack paper work. You laugh your ass off, because she actually did do it, and she proceeds to threaten everyone else around that if they have not been to the dentist in the last six months and they have not made an appointment by the time she goes in for the follow up to the treatment she just had, she will do the same to them.
That’ll teach me. Guess I’d better make with the flossing.

Monday, June 2nd, 2008So, thanks to the help of the wonderful G, I now have a main floor ticket to see the New Kids on the Block live, in concert, during my birthday week.
Special thanks to Proptart, who will accompany me. We plan to dress like 13 year old fangirls. It should be AWESOME.
(hey…mom…any chance any of my NKOTB stuff survived???)

back on the wagon
Sunday, June 1st, 2008EEE!!! I am finally on the right track. Doing the detox for two weeks really showed me how much junk I’ve been putting in my body. I’ve realized there is so much food I really do not need, and how much better things taste when they aren’t all processed. I thought I ate somewhat healthy, at least compared to many I know. However, I obviously wasn’t. I am adding “regular” foods back into my diet in moderation (dairy, wheat, etc.). I plan to watch what I eat much more carefully, and say, not have a piece of cake when it’s birthday time at work. Rather, maybe have a bite, since all I really need is a taste. Or, make a big batch of something at the beginning of the week, so that it is easy to bring a portioned lunch, and not eat the deep fired buffet that is lunch at work. I have also curbed my soda and coffee intake, so I would like to keep up on that.
So, without further ado, here is my update for the week!
Sunday: 3 hours weeding and raking the garden.
Monday: nada
Tuesday 8 minutes Wii fit (it was late, and I only had time to try the new stuff 🙁 )
Wednesday: one hour strength training, forty minutes cardio
Thursday: 30 minutes wii fit
Friday one hour strength training, forty five minutes cardio
Saturday: 30 minutes Wii fit (and I guess you could count the two hours of fancy warm ups we did at rehearsal. Seriously.)
Starting weight:144.5
Current weight: 141.5
Total weight loss: 4 pounds
Total percentage:2.77%
Week percentage:2.75%
New and improved goal: 138 by the end of June, with the reward of getting my Sabbath tattoo
New and improved goal II: 128 by my big birthday, with the reward of getting my Mystery tattoo, and being hotter in my somethingties than ever in my life!!!
The Wii yelled at me for losing weight too fast. I’m not starving, I feel good about my workouts, outside of wishing I were stronger already, and I have more energy than I’ve had in quite a while. So, the Wii can suck it! I don’t know what it will say, though when I want to lose weight and go below the “ideal” BMI even tough it will still be in the “normal” range.
